Can a banner slideshow tell a whole adventure story?
Some banners are just banners. A logo, a slogan, a nice color, done. The essentialflow.org banner show decided that was far too boring and turned itself into a full comic adventure. Each slide opens with the swirling blue wave logo on the left and a brand-new illustrated scene on the right, like flipping through a graphic novel where every page is a different holiday.
First, two hikers stand proudly on a snowy mountain peak beside a summit cross. Next, a team in sharp uniforms poses like action heroes in front of a squad of drones. Then a crowd of smiling office workers gathers beside a private jet, followed by a buzzing control room full of screens.
The tone keeps changing, but the mood stays cheerful. Everybody in these pictures looks like they are having the best day of their working life.
Later slides bring the fun indoors and outdoors again: friends laughing around a dinner table in a warm restaurant, and a joyful crowd of children waving in front of a sparkling waterfall while a cartoon sun beams down at them with a giant grin.
Can a banner slideshow tell a whole adventure story? This one tries very hard and mostly succeeds. Mountains, jets, offices, dinners and waterfalls, all in under a minute. It is a cheerful advertisement for teamwork, travel and good company wrapped in bright comic colors. What else can I say? If every website banner had this much energy, nobody would ever click the close button again. Watch it, enjoy the parade of sunny scenes, and maybe go and plan your own team outing.
The best part is how easy it is to borrow the idea. You do not need the exact place or the exact outfit to bring a little of this energy into your own week. Pick your version of comic, add a pinch of courage and see what happens. Maybe it ends in laughter, maybe it ends in a great photo, maybe it simply ends in a better mood. Either way, it beats scrolling in silence. Here at siyax we are always ready for one more story about banner show.
